Innovation Strategy Manager, Bosch in North America
Sue Nicole Susenburger is an Innovation Strategy manager for the central unit IoT and Digital Innovation for Bosch in North America. Her mission is to connect Bosch through co-innovation with partners such as startups, corporations, universities and other organizations. For the Bosch business sectors, she facilitates co-innovation programs, which become catalysts for digital transformation.
She recently transitioned back to the U.S. from her previous role as IT Innovation manager for the EMEA region, at Robert Bosch GmbH. Since joining Bosch in 2015, Sue has established a global intrapreneurship program, “AdVenture,” and co-created international co-innovation spaces called “The Connectory.” One key aspect of the Connectory spaces are the partnership with local entrepreneurial centers, e.g., the partnership with the U.S.’s largest incubator, 1871 in Chicago, and the Connectory.
Sue is always seeking new avenues to partner with startups. At the base of her work is the strategic approach to innovation of Inside-Out/Outside-In. She is passionate about bridging the two worlds of corporate and startup. Sue brings a diverse set of cultural expertise from various change projects, her previous agency and consultancy time. As an entrepreneur and dedicated community builder, she has been part of Startup Weekend, formerly known as The Up Global Network, for many years, and has acted as mentor and Entrepreneur in Residence (EIR) for Techstars.
Sue holds a master’s in public relations and advertising, with a focus in marketing and entrepreneurship.
